Who We Are

The Grief and Bereavement Resource Center, Inc. is a charitable outreach service in the community that provides grief counseling services, grief counseling referral services, charitable foundation services, and financial support services to grievers. The Grief and Bereavement Resource Center is a leader in the community as the first and only stand-alone resource center. The center is a dedicated organization that provides support services, programs, and resources for individuals experiencing grief. The center is designed to offer a welcoming environment where individuals can seek assistance, guidance, and comfort as they navigate the grieving process. Overall, the grief resource center provides comprehensive support to individuals coping with loss. We offer a compassionate and understanding environment where individuals can find solace, connection, and practical tools to navigate their grief journey.

With the rise in artificial intelligence, gun violence in a social environment, and drug abuse, it is important today to be intentional in providing emotional support and encouragement through meaningful professional human interaction. Showing compassion and empathy should be experienced and heartfelt in real time by customers through ongoing support, and respect for boundaries and culture. While AI (artificial intelligence) technology can provide support and information on grief, it should not be a replacement. AI can offer resources, guidance, and a listening ear, but it’s always recommended to seek support from trained professionals for dealing with grief and emotional challenges.

Our Goals

Our goal is to be a pillar in the community, where we will offer a one-stop resource center for the grieved and bereaved. The resource center will adapt to the ever-changing culture surrounding grief and bereavement. We will implement this through community surveys that measure and monitor feedback on our processes. Traditional and Faith-based Grief Counseling is available (non-denominational). We also consult with businesses, churches, schools, and other community organizations regarding grief resources.
